How It Works

From signup to live apps: here's exactly what happens

1

Subscribe & Connect

Create your account, connect Stripe for payments, and upload your logo and brand assets. Most shops finish in one sitting (~15–20 min). Your web store goes live the same week; your Android app is submitted automatically and clears Google's first review within a few days (up to 7).

2

Build Your Catalogue

Add your products, categories, shipping rates, and pricing in your vendor admin portal. Sub-100 SKUs takes a few evenings; 100–500 is a weekend. Nothing goes live until you're ready.

3

Set Up Your Apple Account

Open an Apple Developer account ($99/year, paid direct to Apple). Once enrolment is confirmed (typically 1–2 weeks for Apple's verification), YourCart builds and submits your branded iOS app. We handle the App Store submission entirely.

4

Go Live

Web store goes live the week you sign up; Android within a few days of subscribing (up to 7). Your iOS app follows within ~4 weeks of signup, after Apple's review (usually 1–3 days once submitted). Send your customer emails and migrate from Shopify whenever you're ready.

Pricing

Founding-member pricing

Founding cohort: £49 £24.50/month. Everything included. Monthly billing, cancel any time.

Beta launch pricing: you help us test and shape the platform, you get 50% off and a direct line to the founder for anything that needs sorting or any feature request.

Founding members: sign on now at £24.50/month for 24 months, lock in a permanent guard against future price rises, and get a 30-day money-back guarantee if YourCart isn't working out (£500 productive-use threshold applies).

Stripe's published processing rate applies to your sales, same as Shopify Payments. No YourCart application fee on payments.

Android is managed entirely by YourCart: no Google signup needed, your Android app is submitted automatically when you subscribe and goes live on Google Play within a few days (up to 7). The iOS App Store requires merchants to hold their own Apple Developer account ($99/yr paid directly to Apple; Apple's rules, not ours). YourCart guides you through setup, handles the build, submission, and updates on your behalf.

The real cost of a branded app on Shopify

To put your shop in the App Store and on Google Play with Shopify, you stack a flat-priced app-builder on top of your Shopify plan. Those bills start high and stay there. YourCart is £49 — and includes the store.

Feature Shopify + Tapcart Shopify + Superfans YourCart
Web store Via Shopify Via Shopify Included
iPhone app Via Tapcart (Growth $500/mo) Via Superfans ($1,000/mo) Included

Real monthly cost (flat) ≈ £393 (£19 + $500) ≈ £767 (£19 + $1,000) £49
What it costs as you grow Still ≈ £393 (flat) Still ≈ £767 (flat) Still £49 (flat)

A Shopify + Tapcart stack starts around £393/month and stays there. YourCart is £49 — about an eighth of the cost — and we build and submit your apps for you, so the shop in the stores is yours. Founding members: £24.50/mo for the first 24 months.

Figures verified 2026-07-07 against public pricing pages (USD→GBP 0.748): Shopify Basic £19/mo, Tapcart Growth $500/mo, Superfans $1,000/mo. Apple's $99/yr developer fee is merchant-paid on every option; Stripe's standard processing fee applies on every side — both cancel out of the comparison. Re-verify quarterly.

About

Charl van der Merwe

Charl van der Merwe

Founder, YourCart.Store

I am the founder of YourCart.Store, a jack of all trades developer with a dream: to build something I truly care about. It has been a long and interesting journey learning multiple programming languages, frameworks and methodologies to get here, and I believe I have something special that separates YourCart from the competition.

My mission is providing small business owners with their own E-Commerce mobile app and website at an affordable monthly price. Mobile apps have typically been too expensive for small businesses, and with YourCart I want to change that by delivering real value for money.

If you have any questions or a bug you want to report, please drop me an email at admin@yourcart.store and we can take it from there!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why £49/month when Shopify is £19? +

Shopify Basic is £19/month + VAT, but it's web only. To add native apps you stack an app-builder on top, and that's where the real bill sits. The cheapest Shopify + Tapcart stack is about £393/month (Shopify £19 plus Tapcart's entry Growth tier at $500/mo), flat at any revenue. YourCart at £49 includes both native apps and the web store in one bill, about an eighth of the cost. (Until 2026 Tapcart also charged a 2.5% fee on every app sale; it has since moved to higher flat tiers.)

What's the transaction fee? +

None from us. YourCart charges no application fee on payments. Your customers pay only Stripe's standard processing fees, published at stripe.com/gb/pricing. Those Stripe fees are the same whether you're on YourCart, Tapcart, or Superfans, so they cancel out of any comparison.

What's the founding-member offer? +

Founding members get £24.50/mo for 24 months (50% off), then auto-renew at the standard £49/mo with a permanent guard against future price rises. When public pricing eventually rises, founding members stay on the £49 rate they auto-renewed onto, indefinitely. A lapse forfeits both the discount and the rise-protection. Founding members also get a 30-day money-back guarantee (£500 productive-use threshold applies).

The bigger boon than the discount: founding members have a direct line to the roadmap. Your feature requests genuinely shape what gets built next while founding-member pricing is open; the cohort is small enough that one request can move what I'm working on this week.

In exchange: a testimonial within 30 days of first sale and a 15-minute case-study chat after the fifth sale. Founder support is async only (email or in-app chat, no standing calls).

Who pays the App Store and Google Play fees? +

Google Play (Android): YourCart pays the one-off $25 fee and manages the Play Console entirely. No merchant signup needed: your Android app is submitted automatically when you subscribe and goes live within a few days (up to 7).

Apple App Store (iOS): Apple's own rules (Guideline 4.2.6) prohibit app-platform SaaS companies from submitting apps under their own account; every app-builder in the industry, including Tapcart and Superfans, operates this way. Merchants must hold their own Apple Developer account, and the $99/yr fee goes directly to Apple (not to us). YourCart walks you through the setup, then handles the build, submission, and updates from within your account. Two paths: Individual ($99, ~24 hrs, your personal legal name as seller) or Organisation ($99 + free D-U-N-S, ~1–2 weeks, your business name as seller).

Is the app really branded as my shop? +

Yes. Your logo, your app name, your icon on the home screen. Customers see your brand, not YourCart's. The Android app is published under YourCart's Google Play account, no merchant signup needed. The iOS app is published under your own Apple Developer account (required by Apple's rules; all app-builder SaaS works this way, including Tapcart and Superfans). Either way, it looks and feels entirely like your shop.

How long does it take to get the apps live? +

Web store: same day. Android: submitted automatically when you subscribe; your branded listing goes live on Google Play within a few days (up to 7 for this first review). iOS: depends on your Apple Developer account setup. Individual enrollment takes ~24 hours; Organisation (business name as seller) takes 1–2 weeks for Apple's verification. Once your account is linked, the app itself typically clears Apple review in 1–3 days. If Apple flags anything, we handle the resubmission at no extra cost.

I'm on Shopify — how hard is switching? +

There's no automated Shopify import today; products and customers go in manually through the onboarding wizard. Most merchants get a working store up in an afternoon. Keep your Shopify store live while you build YourCart out, switch your domain when you're ready, and run both side-by-side as long as you want. Bulk-import tooling is on the roadmap. If you get stuck, email admin@yourcart.store or use the in-app support chat.

Is there a free trial available? +

No: the mobile-app setup is too involved to gate behind a trial. Founding-cohort merchants get a 30-day money-back guarantee instead (£500 productive-use threshold applies). Outside the cohort, you can cancel any time monthly with no contract, but there's no refund for the current month. Either way, the live demo shows you the platform before you commit.

What does "beta" mean in practice? +

It means occasional things may break: a deploy glitch, an edge case in checkout. We'll tell you within an hour if something affects you and fix critical issues as fast as we can. You have a direct line to the founder (email or in-app chat). We're not at "enterprise polish" yet, but we're a real product processing real money for real shops. Service-level remedies are governed by the Refund Policy and Terms of Service.

Not ready to sign up yet? No pressure. Email me at admin@yourcart.store with any question — it comes straight to me, the founder, and I'll reply personally.
